Trust the magic of new beginnings

When I imagine Sancta Maria Aerocity, I do not begin with buildings, facilities, or programmes. I begin with children - curious, capable young people standing at the very start of their new journeys, full of questions, promise, and possibility.

As the Founding Head of School, it is both an honour and a responsibility to lead a school that shapes young people for the world they will go on to shape. Sancta Maria Aerocity has been envisioned as a place where learning is intentional and joyful, where progress matters more than perfection, and where every decision begins with the child - their wellbeing, their success, their present, and their future.

We believe education is what stays with a child long after lessons are over - the habits of mind they develop, the values they carry, and the belief they hold about who they are and what they can become. This belief is at the heart of our promise: every learner at Sancta Maria will leave with purpose, mastery, and the agency to chart their own extraordinary path.

As we begin this journey together, I commit to leading with openness, integrity, and care. I will listen deeply to our students and their families, faculty and staff, and remain open to ideas, feedback, and learning at every step. In the year ahead, we will work deliberately towards IB candidacy, building inquiry-led learning, reflective practice, and professional collaboration across the school. This will be a shared journey - one that values evidence, dialogue, and continuous improvement over quick wins.

We also know that extraordinary schools are built by extraordinary people. We are committed to appointing and nurturing educators and staff through sustained investment in their continuous learning and wellbeing, so they can bring their best selves to the work of guiding and inspiring young people every day.

Most importantly, we see education as a partnership. Families are our co-educators, and trust, transparency, and shared purpose sit at the heart of this relationship. With our parents and families, we seek to create a school where children feel safe, known, and inspired to grow - intellectually, socially, and as human beings.
