About the Role
The Language Teacher plays an important role in developing students’ communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in using language as a tool for connection.
At Sancta Maria, language learning goes beyond vocabulary and grammar rules. It supports identity, intercultural understanding, and meaningful communication. You will design engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture both linguistic competence and curiosity about cultures and perspectives.

Qualifications & Experience
Strongly Preferred
- Bachelor’s or Post-Graduate degree in Education, with a recognised language qualification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of language teaching experience in international curriculum school.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition in young learners.
- Fluent/native level proficiency in the language of instruction and good English communication skills.
Desirable
- Completion of IB Category 1 or 2 workshop.
- Experience in an authorised IB school.

Learning Support Facilitator - Shadow Teacher

About the Role
The Shadow Teacher at Sancta Maria Aerocity will provide 1:1 dedicated support to a specific student with diverse learning needs. Working with the Learning Support Facilitator and Homeroom Teacher, you will ensure the student can meaningfully access the PYP curriculum, develop independence, and successfully integrate into the social and academic life of the classroom.
Learning and Classroom Practice
You will:
- Implement tailored instructional strategies and modifications as outlined in the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) to facilitate access to the Program of Inquiry.
- Scaffold learning tasks and adapt classroom materials (visual schedules, simplified instructions) to match the student’s specific learning profile.
- Collaborate daily with the Homeroom Teacher to ensure the student is actively participating in transdisciplinary units and collaborative group work.
- Facilitate the development of the student’s Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills, particularly self-management and social skills.
Student Wellbeing
You will:
- Create a safe, supportive, and predictable micro-environment that fosters the student’s confidence and agency.
- Support the student in navigating social interactions, modelling the IB Learner Profile attributes to promote inclusion and empathy.
- Monitor the student’s emotional and behavioural regulation, using proactive strategies to minimize anxiety and promote engagement.
- Assist the student during transitions, assemblies, field trips, and break times to ensure safety and social inclusion.
Assessment and Learning Progress
You will:
- Collect daily data and anecdotal evidence on the student’s progress toward their specific IEP goals.
- Contribute to formative assessment by documenting "moments of magic" and growth in the student’s learning journey.
- Participate in regular progress review meetings with the Learning Support team and parents to provide feedback on the effectiveness of interventions.
Collaboration and Professional Learning
You will:
- Work closely with external therapists (Speech, OT, ABA) to ensure therapy goals are reinforced within the classroom setting.
- Attend collaborative planning sessions to stay informed about upcoming Units of Inquiry and prepare necessary student supports in advance.
- Engage in school-wide professional development focused on inclusive practices, neurodiversity, and the IB PYP framework.
Qualifications & Experience
Strongly Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1–2 years) working 1:1 with children with neurodiverse needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome) in an educational or therapeutic setting.
- A deep sense of empathy, patience, and a commitment to the "Person First" language and philosophy.
Desirable
- Certification in Special Education or Shadow Teaching.
- Familiarity with the IB PYP philosophy and inclusive education models in international schools.

About the Role
The Librarian manages the school’s physical and digital collections to foster a lifelong love for reading and to support the Programme of Inquiry (POI). The role focuses on developing information literacy and research skills, ensuring students can find and use resources effectively to drive their own learning.

- Participate in grade-level planning to curate resources that align with the unit plans.

The Wellbeing Counsellor plays a vital role in nurturing a safe, inclusive, and emotionally healthy school environment. This role is suitable for a compassionate and reflective wellbeing professional who understands child and adolescent development, values preventative work as much as intervention, and believes that strong relationships are at the heart of student success.
You will support students’ social, emotional, and behavioural wellbeing, working proactively with students, families, and staff to foster resilience, self-regulation, and positive relationships.
