Across all stages, assessment focuses on what students know, understand, and can do. Teachers use a range of strategies, including observations, discussions, classwork, projects, and more formal tasks, to build a well-rounded picture of each learner’s progress. Feedback is ongoing and purposeful, helping students reflect on their learning and identify next steps.

In the Early Years, assessment is primarily observational and formative, capturing children’s growth through play, interactions, and everyday learning experiences. In the Primary and Middle Years, students engage in extended, age-appropriate projects that bring together learning across subjects. These may include culminating exhibitions, personal inquiries, and community-linked projects, where students apply their understanding, skills, and values in meaningful ways.

Alongside these authentic assessments, students are gradually introduced to more structured tasks that develop organisation, revision strategies, and exam readiness.
