Safeguarding and Wellbeing
We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where every student feels secure, valued, and able to flourish.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility across the school community. Clear policies, robust procedures, and ongoing staff training ensure that student safety is prioritised at all times. We work proactively to create a culture of care, trust, and openness, where students feel confident to seek help and adults are vigilant, responsive, and well informed.
Through strong relationships, pastoral support, and age-appropriate guidance, students are supported to develop resilience, self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies. We place strong emphasis on building positive relationships, respectful behaviour, and a sense of belonging. Students are encouraged to look out for one another, speak up when they have concerns, and take responsibility for their actions.
By creating a safe and nurturing environment, Sancta Maria supports students to engage fully in school life, take positive risks in their learning, and grow with confidence, care, and integrity.
