Inclusion at Sancta Maria International School

Sport and Fitness

Sport and fitness at Sancta Maria are integral to student life, supporting physical wellbeing, teamwork, resilience, and a healthy sense of competition. Our approach is inclusive and progressive, offering opportunities for all students to participate, develop skills, and challenge themselves at an appropriate level.

From Year 1, students have access to a broad range of sporting experiences. These include Swimming in our indoor pool, outdoor sports such as Football, Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis, and Cricket (nets), as well as indoor activities like Table Tennis and Chess. Alongside this, students engage in martial and holistic fitness activities, including taekwondo and yoga, supporting strength, focus, and balance.

As the school grows, the sport and fitness programme will expand further. Planned developments include all-weather indoor courts for Basketball and Badminton, Gymnastics, Skating, and Pickleball, allowing students to explore new disciplines and refine their abilities.

Across all stages, sport and fitness at Sancta Maria encourage participation, teamwork, and positive competition, helping students build confidence, discipline, and a lifelong relationship with physical activity beyond school.
